  Watch out for this office!! On two separate occasions over the past couple years they have billed my insurance company for services not provided!! Check your EOB's!! Apparently reading an eye chart is grounds to bill for a Routine Eye Exam!! I only caught it when my insurance company refused to pay for my daughter's eye exam a month later!! Needless to say we are no longer patients of East Lyme Pediatrics. My children were patients for 5 years here until a recent change of insurance. Transferring their medical records to their new Pediatrician was a disaster. First I was told that they had been mailed to the new office which never got them. There was no postal tracking info so I was led to believe that my children's medical info was missing via the postal service. When I questioned the whereabouts of the records I was told that they were never sent? They blamed it on the girl who no longer works there. The girl I spoke with was rude, defensive and uncooperative. They refused to copy, fax or mail the records to the new doctor without charging me .45 per page. I am still completely baffled as to how this became my problem or if the records were even sent? The patient service is extremely poor and my problem is still unresolved. I phoned Dr. Brutus on 2 occasions and never received a call back. What a terrible way to treat your patients, especially when we were there long before their expansion.
