Customer Reviews about Orthopedic Partners, Niantic, CT
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I almost chose not to try this new place in Niantic because of the poor reviews here. I asked a good friend who has had multiple Orthopedic surgeries who he recommended and he said he uses and likes this practice. I saw Dr. Wei yesterday and found him to be both caring and competent. I did not experience a long wait as others reported and the four other staff people I encountered were extremely pleasant. And, importantly I did NOT find them to be - how shall we say - greedy as reported by another patient. I told Dr. Wei that I liked a PT from elsewhere and he fully supported me seeing whoever I wanted. He applied absolutely no pressure to use his in house PT's. I had also seen their hand specialist Dr. Tarik.... in Norwich years back and really liked him as well. This is the orthopedic practice I will be using for the long term (to keep me moving as parts inevitably wear out with age).February 08, 2017by Mike Dunn
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I too am in the healthcare industry as a registered nurse manager, with thirty-one years of professional nurse experience in a variety of settings. Almost killed by a drunk driver, as well as my husband and two granddaughters, one month ago, I sustained an injury to my leg. After receiving care at William W. Backus Hospital I needed to follow up with an orthopedic doctor. I chose Dr. Piposar. Mind you-this was certainly a liability/insurance case with just cause. What came after my appointment with Dr. Piposar was nothing short of a disgrace. Not only was I expected to pay two-hundred dollars before he would see me, a bill came in the mail for his services rendered. The sum total for this doctor to see me for FIVE MINUTES and review my xray disc I provided with emergency room report- was one thousand dollars! Some will dismiss this as exaggeration but, I can assure it is not. What would a poor person do in my circumstances? They surely would have gone without treatment. Medical ethics comes into question here. It is my opinion that Dr. Piposar epitomizes unethical "business" practice based upon refusal to see me without office visit paid, and an astronomical fee for services rendered-for five minutes!January 27, 2017by ann lancellotti
